Maruti keeps its position as the largest selling carmaker in India but the company was missing out in the high-end segment. Invicto will be Maruti’s most expensive MPV till date and it will have different alloy wheels, re-designed grille and some other small changes in the appearance. The car will also be the most hi-tech model launched by Maruti till date. Invicto will be powered by 2.0-litre four-cylinder hybrid petrol unit only paired with an electric motor generating a combined power output is 183 bhp. Maruti is famous for its affordable vehicles that offer value for money. Indian consumers also love the brand as after-sales services are affordable for all Maruti Suzuki vehicles.
In terms of entertainment and technology, Invicto will offer 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay connectivity. It will have ventilated front seats. Ambient lighting and panoramic sunroof will offer it a premium feeling. Maruti Invicto comes with six airbags. The interiors will have similarities to Innova HyCross.
In terms of design changes from Innova HyCross, Invicto offers new trapezoidal grille with a chrome bar. The alloy wheels have different design. A redesigned front bumper will be different from HyCross. With LED daytime running lights, Maruti is stepping in the new territory. It is yet to be seen if the usual userbase of Maruti will be ready to shell out so much money for Invicto or they would prefer to shift to Toyota.
