Markets Could Open Positive as Global Cues are Bullish

Indian markets are expected to open positive today as global cues have turned bullish. Asian stocks were trading positive today. US markets closed positive on Tuesday with Nasdaq rising over 1.5 percent after positive data was released. Market participants are expecting a softer landing for US economy despite rate hikes from US Federal Reserve, indicating the strength of US economy and strong consumer demand. Major technology companies witnessed strong performance.

HDFC Bank and HDFC will merge on July 1 and both the counters are in focus today. LTI Mindtree witnessed strong performance yesterday and bullish trend could continue as the stock could be added to NSE’s Nifty 50.

Bank Nifty has shown strength in yesterday’s session with close above 44,100. We can expect further strength in banking counters and new levels for Bank Nifty in today’s session.

Today is F&O expiry and traders can expect higher volatility during the trading session.

Crude oil closed weak yesterday. Gold prices were also trading under pressure.
