York, Jan 24 : American singer/songwriter Mariah Carey reportedly
bailed out of the inauguration ball after she came to know that she
would not be sitting with the Obama family.

Carey, who had
performed at the Neighbourhood Ball for President and Michelle Obama,
was "furious" when she found out about the arrangements.

"Mariah
was in the VIP area, where every celebrity, like Jon Bon Jovi, Mary J.
Blige, Alicia Keys and Bruce Springsteen, was seated," the New York
Post quoted a source as saying.

"But somehow she thought she''d be up with the Obama family. When she realized she wasn''t, she bailed," the source added.

Carey's representatives have declined to make any comments on the matter. (ANI)
