Mangalore: Private Buses to Pave Way for Government Ones
The private buses in Mangalore will be shortly replaced by Govt. services. This was announced by Transport minister R Ashok.
Private owners are providing city bus services in the city.
A necessary action plan in this regard has already been chalked out. Govt. has issued instructions to the district administration in this regard the minister informed.
He said that the state owned Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) is fully equipped to handle transport in the state. He even informed that the state government is planning to ban movement of private buses on national highways in the state.
Presently the private buses are providing services to the people as the state transport corporation doesn't have adequate buses to cater to the demands of the passengers.
