Man arrested for leaving Backpack Meth Lab inside Wal-Mart Bathroom

On Monday night, the Pendleton District Meth Suppression team arrested a man suspected of leaving a backpack meth lab inside a Muncie Wal-Mart last week. According to reports, the backpack was left inside the Walmart bathroom.

The man, Tyler Armstrong, was arrested by the squad at the Taco Bell on South Madison Street in Muncie. As per police, the 25-year-old man tried to resist the officers, but was arrested and taken into custody for further investigation. The man has also been charged for resisting law enforcement, the police further stated.

During the time of arrest, Armstrong was with Ashley Oliver of Muncie. According to the police, the 24-year-old Oliver has also been arrested along with Armstrong for assisting in the manufacture of Methamphetamine. According to a statement given by Indiana State Police, they had found a meth lab inside the Walmart bathroom in Muncie. They had also found tools that were used to make the highly addictive drug.

According to the report, the backpack was originally found in a front bathroom by the cash registers. According to an official of Walmart, a worker of the retail store had seen a suspicious man in the store with a backpack. The man was seen in the store for a number of times. The worker, who was keeping an eye on the man, informed the police. According to the worker, the man went into the bathroom with the backpack, but came out without it.

When police reached the location, they explored the backpack and found tools consistent with a type of meth cooking. After the incident, the bathroom remained closed for an extended period and a cleaner was called. According to the police, the step was taken because the drug is very dangerous.
