Malaysian court fines man 6 dollars for cross-dressing
Kuala Lumpur - A Malaysian court fined a man 25 ringgit (6.7 dollars) after he pleaded guilty to cross-dressing, a news report said Tuesday.
The 26-year-old man was caught by police dressed like a woman in a back alley in the capital Kuala Lumpur, the Star online news portal said.
The report said the man paid the fine and was released.
Cross-dressing is a minor offence in mainly-Muslim Malaysia and offenders face a small fine or 14-day jail term if found guilty. (dpa)
