Malaysia To Make Visa Issuance Simpler For Indian Residents
Malaysian immigration agencies have been instructed to ease the issuance of visas to make it easier for Indian residents to visit Malaysia.
Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak made this declaration today.
While lecturing at the Malaysia-India Business Seminar, Najib stated that the department would establish more offices in India with the intention that Indian visitors to Malaysia could apply for visas easily.
According to Najib, there are more than 100 flights between Malaysia and India on a weekly basis.
While Malaysia Airlines, the country's national carrier, runs 30 weekly flights between the two countries, Malaysia's budget airlines Air Asia owns 63 weekly flights between Malaysia and India.
Another 21 weekly flights are operated by three Indian airlines.
India was among the top 10 tourist sources for Malaysia where tourist arrivals from the country amounted to about 590,000 last year. (With Inputs from Agencies)
