Maingear, today came out with its latest the eX-L 18 laptop, which, for the time being, is possibly the world's most powerful gaming laptop.

The new eX-L 18, which can be availed with a choice from Intel's Core 2 Duo family - the Core 2 Duo P8700 at 2.53GHz, the T9600 at 2.8GHz and the Core 2 Duo Extreme X9300 2.53GHz, where the latest option is of course the title-bearer - is based around the PM45/ICH9-M platform.

Furthermore, two Geforce GTX280M GPUs, 8GB of DDR3 would also be featured in it; apart from a choice between three 2.5-inch SATA or SSD drives, an optional Blu-ray drive, also optional integrated HD TV (ATSC) tuner, four USB 2.0 ports, VGA out, HDMI out, FireWire, Intel's WiFi Link 5300 a/b/g/Draft-N and up to 7.1 audio if the user uses digital out.

The device has an 18.4-inch screen at 1920x1080; along with attractive sleek looks. Even more, Maingear offers to use the custom etching technology to make it fit according to users' needs, if they wish to customize it even further.

The users would be able to avail the eX-L 18 with a choice of 32 and 64-bit versions of Windows Vista Home Premium and Vista Ultimate, from the eX-L 18 at Maingear's website starting at a saucy $2,999.
