Macca squares for final divorce battle with Mills
London, Feb. 11: Macca as Sir Paul is affectionately referred to the world over, is expected to try to convince the judge that Mills should not get more than the 10 million pounds promised. Mills and her lawyers are seeking 80 million pounds of the ex-Beatle’s 825-million-pound fortune, The Sun reports.
A source close to the couple said yesterday: “They have been trying to reach a settlement for months but they are still poles apart. She wants at least 80-million-pounds, if not over 100-million-pounds, while he wants to give her only 10-million-pounds. It is going to be extremely bitter, not least because they hate each other.”
According to the tabloid, Mills demands include at least two homes — one here and another in the US — 24-hour security and two full-time nannies for their three-year-old daughter Bea. She also wants her and Bea’s medical expenses paid for life, a personal trainer, household staff and a secretary. In addition she will argue for Sir Paul to pay for her entourage when she travels.
Heather, 40, and Sir Paul, 65, intend to appear in court throughout the battle, which is expected to last five days.
Mills is on record as saying that she could represent herself, unless she gets legal representation before today’s private hearing. She is currently being sued by law firm Mishcon de Reya for about two-million-pounds in unpaid fees.
Macca’s pals said he had “no problem” with agreeing to provide for Bea.
The friend said Sir Paul felt bitter about being “misled” by Heather about her past. He was said to have been horrified when it was revealed she was once a high-class hooker.
Earlier, Macca had snubbed Heather Mills's last-ditch attempt to clinch a divorce deal - by curtly telling her: "See you in court."
Panicky Heather bombarded Sir Paul, 65, with phone calls over the weekend to try to win a settlement ahead of today's divorce hearing in London. But a friend of Heather,
40, said: "She was in tears but he was extremely cool.
Despite Macca's frosty tone, Heather, 40, is said to still be hoping she can secure a last-minute deal today. She may even approach him with an offer on the steps of London's High Court. (ANI)
