L&T Construction has claimed to grab an order worth Rs 797 crore in the building and factories segment during the second quarter this fiscal.

In a regulatory filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the company has notified that the order has been secured from a leading developer for mixed construction, including mostly residential, retail and commercial developments in the Mumbai.

"L&T has secured from reputed customers new orders aggregating to Rs. 975 crore for the construction of a mixed-use commercial development and construction of the main civil works for an IT campus”, added the company. "These orders further enhance the order book of the company which has already secured major design-and-build contracts in airports, IT parks, and commercial and residential space”.

In addition, the L&T has announced that it has credited to avail orders worth Rs 1,340 crore in the buildings and factories segment. Meanwhile, shares of Larsen & Toubro were observed to trade at Rs 1,532.50, with a significant deviation of 1.63% as compared to their previous close on the BSE at 1130 hours.
