LG has launched its new mobile phone LG Mini GD880 with a unique design and various intelligent features in the market today.

The phone has a touchscreen which measures 3.2 inches. It offers many communication features along with latest multimedia options.

President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company, Skott Ahn said, "We developed the LG Mini in response to specific requests from actual consumers who were unhappy with current full touchscreen phones that are too bulky, too clunky and too expensive. The easily pocketable LG Mini delivers great looks at a reasonable price."

The exterior of GD880 includes textured metal accents which gives the phone the striking feature without disturbing with its simplicity. The face of the phone has no buttons which gives it a plain and a simple look.

The phone offers web connective, email for business use and also features Social Network Connect, Social Network Feed and Social Address Book.

The phone has a camera with a resolution of 5.0 megapixel. The camera is embedded with the advanced face detection technology. It allows users to upload pictures and videos into networking sites.

GD880 supports most formats of music and movies and also features an FM radio. As for connectivity solutions it offers HSDPA connectivity at 7.2 Mbps and Wi-Fi. A new feature to offer real time information, A-GPS is also offered in the phone.

The pricing details of the phone were not disclosed by the company. The phone is expected to be launched in Europe by March and later in other markets.
