Lebanese English newspaper back on the stands
Beirut - The sole Lebanese English-language newspaper "The Daily Star" was allowed to publish on Monday after the judiciary granted it permission following a legal dispute with a creditor.
The paper was forced to shutdown for two weeks after its publisher said the paper owed a bank around 700,000 dollars.
According to a source close to the paper a settlement was reached with the bank, but failed to disclose the conditions.
The Daily Star is the sole English-language newspaper in Lebanon. It was founded in 1952. (dpa)
