The engineering and construction giant has anticipated accomplishing the project in two years and revealed about other two engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) orders, toting up Rs 497 crore.

An Abu Dhabi Ports Company has placed the first order, valued at Rs. 422 crore, for construction of five medium voltage substations and associated 33kV cabling works for Khalifa Port & Industrial Zone project. Whereas, another demands it to build 132kv cabling and associate works from Dubai Electricity & Water Authority, said the company.

In addition, the company has also dragged a breakthrough order, part of KAHRAMAA Phase X, from Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation for engineering, supply, installation and commissioning of 66 km of 220kV underground cabling works, for around Rs 185 crore.

The project credits to be first 220 KV order for L&T in Qatar in spite of heavy competition and lagging International Cable OEMs.

Meanwhile, the company shares were observed to trade up at Rs 1,668.75 on NSE.
