Labour Leader Ed Miliband Underwent a Nose Surgery: Still Sounds the Same

Ed MilibandEd Miliband, the Labour leader went through a £1,300 nasal surgery yesterday. It was an hour-long operation, which was carried out at the Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital in central London, to repair a ‘deviated septum’ in his nose.

However, predictions and hopes that the surgery might alter his adenoidal speaking manner have actually been crushed.

Earlier, Mr. Miliband declined comments that the operation was image-related in any manner. Instead, he stressed that doctors recommended the surgery since he was suffering from ‘sleep apnoea’, a condition that causes interrupted sleep and excessive snoring.

Quieter nights are now surely in vision at the Miliband family home.

The surgery was basically about managing a deviated septum in his nose, hence making it easier for him to sleep, and perhaps for his wife Justine to be spared the odd snores.

Mr. Miliband was suffering from a condition in which the throat narrows or slams during sleep, limiting air flow into the lungs. It can reportedly force the person to frequently wake-up for an instant.

Mr. Miliband will reportedly spend some easy recovery time over the next few days before going on holiday with his wife and their two kids for a fortnight's vacation in Devon.
