Kumble confident of winning Sri Lanka Test-Series

India’s Test captain, Anil Kumble, is all ready with his team to go on a full Anil confident of winning Sri Lanka Test-Seriesfledged tour to Sri-Lanka starting in the end of this month. The Indian team is practicing hard these days at MAC Stadium to make sure that they deliver the best when they face the Sri-Lankans.

Talking about Sri Lankan Spinner, Ajantha Mendis, Kumble said that they won’t take him lightly. Kumble feels that playing down the line, instead of across it, is one way to deal with him.

As of now, the Indian team is quite confident that they will return home with flying colors of victory.

When asked about Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s decision to withdraw from the test series, Kumble said, "It was his personal decision. He knows his mind and body".

Kumble further said that he had asked selectors to pick two specialist wicketkeepers for the tour. He reported that as a captain he is aware that there could be problems if specialist were not fit physically on the morning of the match.

“There was a suggestion Rahul be the second wicketkeeper, but I persuaded the selection committee to view things from Indian cricket's point of view and advantage,” he added.

According to Kumble, “Sri Lankans have had a good Test run recently and play very well in their backyard but we are ready for the challenge. It’s going to be an interesting contest.”

India is all set to kick off the tour with a three-day warm-up match on July 18.
