Knights to meet Devils on field
After flagging their victory over the Kings XI Punjab, the Kolkata Knight Riders, owned by superstar Shahrukh Khan, is all set to compete with the Delhi Daredevils in Delhi.
This match would be their first match this season is being predicted to be equal as both the teams have equal form and strength. Both the teams will face each other after having their share of defeats and finally getting back to winning.
On Saturday night, the Kolkata Knight Riders won over bottom-rankers Kings XI, while the Daredevils had a glorious victory over then-toppers Royal Challengers on Thursday.
If the team members are taken under consideration, then both the teams are well balanced. They are equally matched with a Chris Gayle for Virender Sehwag, Shane Bond for Dirk Nannes, Sourav Ganguly for Gautam Gambhir
(if he plays).
However, there is still something special in the Daredevils' batting, which enhances its chances of winning, as it has the presence of big-hitting match-winners and the arrival of another international option, Paul Collingwood.
A hamstring injury did not let Gambhir participate in the last three games and he is much required at the Kotla, where the Daredevils have lost both their matches. He remained non-committal, even after training and holding onto some catches in the morning at Bharat Nagar.
Confidence was however expressed by Coach, Greg Shippard, who said, "He is looking better and getting closer to being fit. He might play tomorrow, but definitely will in the next match."
It seems that Monday's match will lure hundreds of people and in fact it will be the big Bollywood element that the Knight Riders are tagged with - Shah Rukh Khan, which will pull people in and not just the big hitters.
