Klinsmann: Bayern followed my ideas with new hirings

Klinsmann: Bayern followed my ideas with new hiringsHamburg - Juergen Klinsmann said in an interview published on Saturday that Bayern Munich's multiple new hirings were a belated confirmation of his ideas before he was sacked at the German top club.

"The transfers are really remarkable. Seven, eight or possibly nine players - that is almost a complete team and shows that they belatedly followed my analysis," Klinsmann said in a email interview with the Bild daily.

"It shows that the coach alone was not to blame for the defeats of the past season."

The former Germany coach Klinsmann was sacked in April after less than one season in Munich, who eventually finished second in the Bundesliga under Jupp Heynckes.

Now Munich have Dutchman Louis van Gaal at the helm and new players on the team include Germany striker Mario Gomez, who came from VfB Stuttgart for an estimated 30 million euros.

Klinsmann also told Bild that he won't seek a new coaching job next season. (dpa)
