New York, Oct. 22 : Massachusetts Democrat Senator and former presidential candidate John Kerry has been roundly criticized for implying that Republican presidential candidate John McCain wears adult diapers.

The one-liner came during a speech at a business summit in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Monday, when Kerry railed on the media for its election coverage.

"I am so tired of the press'' silly questions that they ask along the way. And cable television, which reduces everything to stupidity - the lowest common denominator of conflict. "Barack got asked the famous boxers or briefs question," Kerry said. "I was tempted to say commando. Then they asked McCain and McCain said, ''Depends," PolitickerMA reported Kerry, as saying.

Kerry spokesperson Brigid O’Rourke told the Boston Herald the senator was just recycling an old joke. (ANI)
