JMM Chief Soren Released From Dumka Jail

JMM chief Sibu Soren
JMM chief Sibu Soren was discharged from Dumka central jail, four days after his final judgment in the Shashinath murder case after being behind bars for more than eight months.

A large number of admirers assembled outside the prison house to welcome him. On Thursday, the Delhi high court released Soren and four others in the Jha murder case in which he was charged of plotting murder of his private secretary.

Soren was brought to Dumka from Tihar jail in January after a Jamtara court released a production warrant asking him to appear before it in the Chirudih slaughter case of 1975.

He had consequently received bail in the case. In the meantime, Soren's advocate B N Manjhi actuated a request on Saturday in the Jamtara court appealing recall of the production warrant it served against Soren.
