Jhamu Sughand Passes Away At 57

Ace Bollywood producer Jhamu Sughand died at the Life Criticare hospital Hum Dil De Chuke Sanamin Juhu in the Western suburb of Mumbai on Monday (May 26), at 11:27 am.

Fifty-seven year old Jhamu had suffered a massive cardiac arrest.

His family members told that he was taken to hospital after he had some breathing problems.

He was cremated at the Juhu Crematorium on Monday evening. He is survived by a son and daughter.

In a career spanning nearly 25 years in showbiz, Sughand produced various films including Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Buddhadev Dasgupta's Kaalpurush Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra’s Aks, Deepa Mehta’s Earth and many more.

He was also involved with the Kolkata film industry, and produced a few Bengali movies. He recently announced plans to produce at least half a dozen Bengali movies.

Unluckily, Jhamu suffered big financial losses two years ago, and could not recover from that.

His last project was Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na, introducing Aamir Khan’s nephew Imraan Khan. Jaane Tu will now release on July 6.

Our sincere wish for this man is that May His Soul Rest in Eternal Peace.
