Washington, Sept 4 : Jessica Chastain and Kristen Wiig are in very early talks to play female leads in Ridley Scott's upcoming film 'The Martian.'

The film, which already stars Matt Damon, would be produced by Scott along with Simon Kinberg and Aditya Sood, who had found the 2012 self-published book by Andy Weir from which the movie will be adapted, the Hollywood reporter reported.

The movie, which was scripted by Goddard centers on an astronaut who is stuck on a Martian colony and struggles to survive, while NASA tries to build a rescue mission. (ANI)
