New York, Jan 1 : American actress/singer Jennifer Hudson will perform at Barack Obama's inaugural ceremony, it has emerged.

If reports are to be believed, this would be her first performance since her mother, sister and nephew were brutally murdered in Chicago in October last year.

"Organizers want Jennifer to sing ''The Star-Spangled Banner'' at the Inauguration on Jan. 20," the New York Post quoted a source as saying.

"They are talking to Jennifer about it. It would be the first time she performed since the murders. She is from Chicago and a huge Obama supporter," the source added.

However, her rep was not available for comment. (ANI)
