Jawbone has announced the launch of its new Big Jambox Bluetooth speaker to address the concerns voiced by the users that the popular small Bluetooth Jambox speaker is not loud enough even as it offers impressive sound for its size.

The Big Jambox is bigger than the original Jambox and will offer the louder sound than the original speaker. The new speaker measures 10 x 3.1 x 3.6-inch, which is bigger than the original but still smaller than many other dock speakers available in the market and weighs 2.7-pound.

The bigger speaker retains clean design of the original Jambox and just like the earlier speaker it is also available in several colors, including red, white, and black. There are some new controls on the speaker including "Previous," "Next," "Volume Up," and "Volume Down" buttons allowing users to control everything from the speaker. A New "J" button on the speaker allows users to activate a voice that tells the battery level.

The new Big Jambox Bluetooth speaker is priced at $299, which is more than most iPhone or iPod speaker docks. The new speaker will be available from the middle of May.
