Rajasthan Royals to play all home matches in Jaipur

The Season II of the Indian Premier League will commence on April 10. The inaugural match will be held in Jaipur between defending champions Rajasthan Royals and Delhi DareDevils. Chennai will host the two semifinals on May 21 and May 22 while the final will be held in Mumbai on May 24.

The venue for the final has not yet been decided. "We're in talks. Soon we will come to a decision," an IPL official said. The options before the IPL are the CCI and the DY Patel Stadium in Nerul.

According to the schedule released on Tuesday, there are nine venues for the eight-team league. The new venue this year is Visakhapatnam which will host two home matches of the Hyderabad Deccan Chargers.

Meanwhile, RR have decided to play all their home matches in Jaipur. There was speculation that some or all matches could be shifted to Ahmedabad.

Like in the first season, there will be two matches on weekends and one match on week days. The day matches start at 4pm and the night matches will begin at 8pm.
