IPL bidding: Pawar refuses his involvement

Sharad PawarSharad Pawar, the Union Agriculture Minister has discarded to take part in bidding of Indian premier league (IPL) team which was organized by a Pune-based company. He says that neither he nor his any family members are interested in any IPL team or in the bidding process.

And he has complained that Mr. Anirudh Deshpande, the MD of City Corporation had made the bid with his capacity. Pawar and his family have 16% share in City Corporation and that amount has been used in bidding of an IPL team which is Rs. 1.176 Cr approximately.

This has been published in a media report on Friday. But the company board had declared that City Corporation was not involved in the bid. Abhisek Sanghvi has said that all problems formed in this issue must be informed to the NCP leader. Supriya Sule, daughter of NCP chief Sharad Pawar has said that her father could have easily bid for a team when he was the BCCI chief the time when IPL had started. However, IPL's suspended chief Mr. Lalit Modi has said that there is no involvement of Mr. Pawar's family in this auction process.
