Injured McGain To Return Home

It seems that problems have already started emerging in the Australian Injured McGain To Return Homecamp before the beginning of the test series. For the 26 year old leggie, Bryce McGain, the tour ended before it even started.

The spinner from Victoria is all set to return home after discovering a right shoulder injury sustained during an Australia A match in India last month. However, Cricket Australia is yet to announce his replacement for the four-match Test series against India. McGain injured his right shoulder while playing an Australia A match in India last month.

Commenting on McGain injury, team Physiotherapist Alex Kountouris said, “Bryce's injury was first sustained in an Australia A match in September and despite his workload being managed throughout the early stages of this tour, he suffered a setback at training on Tuesday in an attempt to be available for Australia's four-day match currently being played in Hyderabad.”

"As a result, it has been decided that Bryce will not be available for selection for the majority of the tour," Kountouris added.

Meanwhile, CA National Selection Panel Chairman Andrew Hilditch said that a decision on a potential replacement player for McGain would be taken in due course.

In the absence of McGain, off-spinner Jason Krejza is expected to challenge strong Indian batting order in the upcoming test series. However, Krejza performances in the ongoing warm-up match against Board President's XI has not been very impressive.
