Indian Doctor Removes Over A Lakh Kidney Stones From 1 PatientAs per reports, Dr Ashish Patel, director of Tejnaksh Healthcare's Institute of Urology in Dhule, has made it to the Guinness Book of World Records as he removed more than 1,72,155 stones from a single kidney of the patient.

Patel conducted the surgery on one of his patient Dhanraj Wadile in December last year when he reported trouble in stomach for six months.

The diagnosis revealed that Wadile is suffering from Pelvi-Ureteric Junction obstruction of the left kidney, which was drooping from its normal position.

The doctor decided to conduct operation.

He made a thorough plan of surgical operation as the patient had a very high number of stones.

The surgery that lasted for four hours proved successful, and the doctors were also surprised with the number of stones they extracted from kidney.

The stones particularly made up of calcium oxalate and calcium phosphate were one millimetre to 2.5 cm big.

Rawandale-Patil said that he had received a hard copy of certificate from Guinness Book of World Records.
