India threatens RIM and Nokia over security issues

NokiaResearch in Motion (RIM) and Nokia widely known e-mail service providers of the country, have been notified by the Indian Intelligence Bureau offering safety concerns in regard to e-mails sent and received using their servers.

The sources claim that service will be retained instead of completely banning them out of the servers. The companies have been asked to offer abide by the norms of IB. Nokia and RIM are working upon the issue to root it out from the cause.

The Government on the receiving end is concerned about e-mails that are being thrown out from India using encrypted servers placed out of the country.

The command in charge is demanding an access to these servers in order to monitor the traffic that passes through them. This apparently is an attempt to keep a tab on the act of terrorism.

The government's aim to get hold of personal and corporate e-mails is supposedly a measure to evade the acts of terrorism which is very much justified in lieu of soaring acts of the threats.
