India has been considered as a major strategic partner of US. It is playing a major role in the relationship of America with some other key countries like China and Russia. This has been informed by National Security Strategy of US.

The Obama Administration has stated that it has given top priority to India as major strategic partner while dealing with new international orders.

Responding a query senior officer, Rhodes has informed that if China is being considered critical but India is considered as overall. He has also said that as a nation it has a striking economic growth during recent years and it has been playing an important role in several issues not only concerned to the local regions but also globally.

The United States is going to have its first Strategic Dialogue with India next week. Such kind of dialogue is going to be held for the first time between the two nations.

US will have its first ever ministerial strategic dialogue with India and they will discuss various tactical issues between the two countries.
