India beat Sri Lanka In third ODI

India did well for itself in the five-match series, as it beat Sri Lanka on Sunday at the Premadasa Stadium and secured 2-1 lead in the series.

Man-of –the-Match was none other than M.S. Dhoni, as he helped the team score 237 runs in partnership with Suresh Raina (53), and 67 with Rohit Sharma, for nine in 50 overs after winning the news.

The top order of Sri Lanka was broken by Zaheer Khan and Praveen Kumar, as they took the early four wickets, and India won by 33 run in the third one-day international.

Although the Sri Lankan Captain, Mahela Jayawardene, played well and scored 94 to save his team, the team could not survive as four players were already out till the team had scored 40 runs.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who won the toss and then scored 76, laid the foundation of victory for India. Contribution given by Suresh Raina (53) and Rohit Sharma (32) can’t be avoided as well as they too played rather well to make India win.
