IBM Corporation and Stanford University have initiated a fresh development in the plastic recycling research. The researchers have informed that they crossed the existing limitations and are going to recycled plastic making it a more constructive product now.

They have succeeded in enhancing the quality of plastic by introducing a complete new recycling method.

According to the researchers, the fresh method of recycling would provide a new way to break-down plastic. Then it can be used simultaneously in the same form over and over again.

This progress is now expected to help the beverage companies in a big way because they can use such plastics to package their food items and after use it can be recycled to bring it to its previous form.

As per Bob Allen, senior manager of chemistry and functional materials for IBM's Almaden research center in Silicon Valley, this innovation is an addition to catalysts that are used to reduce polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plastic to its basic building blocks. If the recycled plastic can get their original properties back then it would be very economical to build it again and again.
