American astrophysicist and science communicator Neil deGrasse Tyson is famous for revealing interesting things about science and space. According to the 56-year-old Tyson, universe is a pace too vast for a human mind to fully understand. But, according to the astrophysicist, the knowledge about the universe that the human has gathered over the years makes him feel not small, but big. According to Tyson, he tries to learn something new every day.

Tyson has published many books that tell several interesting facts of our world and space. He hosted the famous television series Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey and directed Hayden Planetarium in New York. According to him, he still tried to learn something new about science and earth.

While talking about important life lessons that are Tyson's constant sources of inspiration, the astrophysicist said one of them is that he everyday day tries to lessen the suffering of others by however amount. According to him, he does that through his role as a science educator.

According to deGrasse Tyson, "If you understand your connection to the universe - that we are all made of the same stuff as the tens of billions of stars in our galaxy - then that knowledge gives you a sense of relevance and connection that you might never feel otherwise".

While talking to 60 Minutes correspondent Charlie Rose, Tyson said that he tried to learn that he did not know. It could be a great advice for every human. According to many experts, learning something new every day could make a person smarter and protect brain from negative things.

According to deGrasse Tyson, he also tries to live his life. For that, he follows the advice of a 19th Century American politician and educator, Horace Mann, who said 'Be ashamed to die until you've scored some victory for humanity'.
