Hooded jackets by Hind Fashions recalled

Because of a strangulation hazard, the U. S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Hind Fashions hooded jackets.

Imported from China by Hind Fashions of New York, about 200 boys' hooded jackets were sold exclusively at Burlington Coat Factory between January 2006 and September 2009 for between $30 and $90.

It was further reported that the recall involves blue suede jackets with fur linings and "Hind Leather" printed on the neck tag and black quilted leather jackets with "Lil Phat" printed on the neck tag.

The drawstrings on the hoods of the jackets pose a strangulation threat, the commission said.

It was also noted by the report that consumers were advised to remove the drawstring or return the garment to Hind Fashions or the retailer for a full refund. (With Inputs from Agencies)
