Hoggard confident of another four years at the top

Hoggard confident of another four years at the topLondon, Oct 20 : Sidelined England fast bowler Matthew Hoggard reckons that he still has four years as a top class bowler in him.

The 32-year-old, who is a target of a host of counties, also believes that he has the ability to be committed to a club and give off his best.

“Matthew can still swing the ball and take wickets. He was Yorkshire''s best bowler last season and helped keep them up. He still believes he has four good years left at the top and his new club would have to show real commitment to him in the length of the deal,” The Mirror quoted a source close to Hoggard, as saying.

“The travelling side is not an issue. He is prepared to move away if the offer is right,” the source added.

Hoggard is currently without a county, as he was released by Yorkshire at the end of the 2009 season, but Nottinghamshire reportedly looks favourites to snap up the experienced player.

Middlesex, Kent and Essex are also very keen, while Hampshire and Sussex have shown an interest in him. (ANI)
