GST likely to miss its deadline, yet again

Ajay Singh YadavBe it because of the lack of cooperation among the political parties or be it because of the tough implications of the rule, but the fact of the matter is, that the government has not been able to implement the GST regulations even after trying its level best in the couple of last years.

It is to be mentioned here that the Haryana Finance Minister Ajay Singh Yadav has recently said that as the most BJP ruled states are not favoring the decision of implementing GST they want their autonomy should not be affected.

It may be noted here that Singh also pointed out towards UP and Tamil Nadu as the two states which are opposing the implementation of GST. On the other end, Punjab FM Manpreet Singh Badal said there is a political agenda in opposing the draft of the GST.

While the GST has been trying to replace the other indirect taxes that are being faced in various states with a neat, clean and single process, it has already been delayed by a year and it is much likely that it will miss its deadline yet again.
