Government to analyze HC pay hike
Just a day after the high court barristers had their share of talks with the government officials with a view to find a solution for the pay hike of the staff, the finance minister of the state said that a recommendation has recently been placed with an aim to increase the remuneration of the employees of the High Court.
It is to be mentioned here that the minister also pointed out the fact that the government has already increased the salaries of the high court employees by 40% since 1st April 2009 and the dues of the employees have been paid in two installments.
However, the government has also received another recommendation for a pay hike close to four months back and it will now evaluate the matter and will write to the Chief Justice in a span of 15 days.
The Chief justice has said that if the workers are ready to resume work at the earliest, in that case he will look at issue of implementing the special pay commission report for the employees.
As the annual holidays for High Court start at October 7th and if, strike does not end by then, it will be a big hit to the system altogether.
