Google's latest Android OS 4.2 version coming up soon  In its recent announcement pertaining to the new Nexus tablet and smartphone lineup, Internet search giant also implicitly hinted that the latest version of its popular Android mobile operating system - the Android OS 4.2 version - is coming up soon.

Despite the fact that the Android 4.2 version - which will also be dubbed `Jelly Bean', the name of Android version 4.1 - will not mark any significant upgrade of Google's Android software, it will nonetheless bring along some notable enhancements to the open-source Android OS.

Though it is being speculated that the new LG Nexus 4 handset and the Samsung Nexus 19 tablet will be the first devices to ship the Android 4.2 version when they hit the markets in mid-November, it is also possible that the Nexus
7 and Galaxy Nexus might receive the Android 4.2 upgrade next month.

Some of the minor upgrades which Android 4.2 will boast include the Photo Sphere feature, which will allow the users to stitch together pictures from Google Street View style panoramic images; and the 4.2 Play Store app that will unfold the Music Explorer - a customized music-shopping feature.

In addition, a few other additions which will come aboard the Android 4.2 version are: multi-user support for tablets; gesture typing; Smart screen-savers; and the Miracast - trade name for Wi-Fi Direct - 802.11n compatible network protocol for display-sharing.
