Google secures ad deals for IPL broadcastThe internet wonder Google has bagged the broadcast rights of the Indian Premiere League for Youtube. Not just that, the company has already been able to get eight advertisers on board including IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore, HSBC, Coca-Cola, Samsung, Airtel, HP and others.

Google India's Business Head Narsimha Jayakumar also admitted that some of the advertisers have also made the commitment for the next season of the tournament too.

The ads will be telecasted through the entire 45 day tournament during all the 6 matches. Interestingly, the ads will not feature only during the live telecast of the matches. Youtube plans to have some interesting branding solutions like branding best catches and the masthead on the webpage, apart from pop-ups, banner ads etc.

Apart from the Indian advertisers, the company has also finalized a few deals with international players in South East Asian markets and Australia.

Due to certain global legal restrictions, the matches of IPL will not be telecast in the US. Youtube has a huge fan following of 1 billion viewers daily. Out of these one billion viewers, an average of 400 million is unique viewers. In the Indian market, the total number of average viewers of Google will be approximately around 10 million a day.
