Google to reveal new tablet at its I/O conference
Internet giant, Google might be planning to reveal a new table computer in association with Asus during its upcoming Google I/O conference.
According to reports, the tablet will cost around $199 and will be co-branded with the two companies. According to a person closer to the matter, the tablet might be launched with next generation of Google's Android operating system, code-named Jellybean.
Some reports had suggested that Google and Asus have launched a joint initiative to develop a for a 7-inch tablet. If the rumors are true, the company will deliver on the promise made by its chairman Eric Schmidt in December
2011 that Google will deliver a tablet "of the highest quality" within six-month time.
The internet giant is expected this week to show off a tablet that will come with newest mobile software and a service that will allow companies rent computer servers to store data. The Google's annual software-developers conference will aim to attract mobile-app creators and consumers in order to challenge Apple's dominance in a better way.
The three-day Google I/O event will begin in Francisco on Wednesday.
