Google ‘not’ planning to exit China
Google has denied news reports that said that it is going to quit the Chinese market.
The statement was made on Thursday, just after some news reports said that the search engine giant is going to leave China's market by the end of March.
Talking to China Daily, Spokesperson of Google, Marsha Wang that the company has not passed any orders asking its domestic advertising agencies to stop doing business in the country.
Wang also said that the China operations were doing normal business and that the team in China is getting clients and signing contracts. The things are going on as "normal".
The rumors started doing the rounds, after CEO of Google said that "something will be happening soon". He was talking at the media summit in Abu Dhabi.
However, Nicole Wong, Vice President, Google had said in his testimony to the Congressional Committee in the US that the company is reviewing its business operations in China. Wong further said that Google was not feeling comfortable after China went ahead and sponsored the search results of the company.
He also said that it was in constant talks with Beijing to decide the fate of future of Internet service there.
