According to reports, if a user searches for a racist word and adds the word ‘house’, when zoomed in capital of United States of America, Washington, D.C., Google Maps will take the user to the home where the United States President Barack Obama and his family lives, which means the White House.

It is not revealed that why it has been happening and who is responsible for creating the search but a spokesperson of the Mountain View headquartered company said that the company has been working to fix this issue quickly. Google is trying to resolve the problem, but till the 4 am of Wednesday, the search was working.

Google Map has been hot topic from last few weeks. Earlier this month, the company suspended its Map Maker tool when some of its content was vandalized. According to some reports, someone had put a picture of Android mascot urinating on an Apple logo. After noticing that, the company announced to stop its Map Maker tool.

According to the spokesperson of the company, there are some inappropriate results that have been surfacing in Google Maps. Those results should not be there and the company apologizes for any offence those results may have caused. The Google team has been working hard to fix the issue.

Earlier, Pavirthra Kanakarajan, Map Maker team member, said in a statement, “We have been experiencing escalated attacks to spam Google Maps over the past few months. As a consequence, we suspended auto-approval and user moderation across the globe. The most recent incident was particularly troubling and unfortunate”.

Map Maker tool of Google allowed its users to draw features and add roads, local businesses and rivers. According to Google, the suspension on the service is temporary. The company has not revealed when it will be restored.
