Google Inc and Tele Atlas ties up

Google Inc. and Tele Atlas have tied up for a five-year deal, under which the digital maps made by Tele Atlas will feature in new Google services.

Tele Atlas has been recently acquired by Dutch navigation device maker, TomTom, for $4.6 billion. The deal with Google Inc. is a five year licensing agreement, in which Tele Atlas will provide data, relevant to Google Earth and Google Maps for Mobile.

The details of the finances involved in the deal, were not disclosed yet, but this agreement proves that the demand for GPS is increasing.
