Internet giant, Google has revealed a new Doodle on its homepage to mark the 60th anniversary of the first book publication by the Polish science fiction writer, Stanislaw Lem.

Stanislaw Lem is known for his 1961 novel Solaris that has been pasteurized three times. The animated doodle is revealed in place of the Google logo on its flagship search engine homepage. When the user clocks on the doodle, the animation of the doodle begins.

The doodle includes a character walking along and comes face to face with a huge robot, with which the users can interest using their cursor. The visitors are asked three sums and if they answer correctly they move to another level and another game.

Google has said that the art is inspired by The Cyberiad illustrations by Daniel Mroz. The Cyberiad is a collection of humorous short stories written by Lem that was released in 1965. The writer's books have been translated into 41 languages and have sold more than 27 million copies. Google has patented the art in the doodle.

Google has revealed its first doodle in 1998 and since them the Google team has designed more than 300 doodles for its US website and another 700 worldwide to mark various occasions.
