Google Inc. has to face a primary inquiry by European antitrust authorities. The EU antitrust authorities have disclosed that Google have to go through a preliminary inquiry into allegations made by three European Internet companies. Google has the maximum dominance in U. K. in search advertising as compared to the U. S.

The three companies of U. K. who have taken Google to EU are Ciao. de, Foundem. co. uk and EJustice. fr. Ciao. de is a German subsidiary of Microsoft Corporation. Foundem. co. uk is a U. K. price comparison site while EJustice. fr is a French site which provides legal search inquiries.

Earlier these three companies have complained that Google have ranked the sites of Internet competitors unfairly. According to the companies, Google have pushed them to inferior ranks in search result. They have questioned the ranking evaluation procedure. Mean while Google has denied such allegations and said that it has not violated any of European law.

But the European Commission inquiry will have a close examination of the matter. Apart from that, The EC, the EU's executive arm and antitrust regulator are having a strict watch on issues related to Google such as its conduct in the advertising market or its purchase of DoubleClick Inc. etc.
