Google displays new children’s day Doodle on its India home page
Internet giant, Google has unrevealed a colorful and creative Doodle 4 on its Indian flag ship search page to mark the occasion of Children's day on November 14.
The winning doodle of the Doodle 4 Google India 2012 competition has been designed by Arun Kumar Yadav, a student of class 9 Kendriya Vidyalaya, Chandigarh. Arun Kumar Yadav won the competition that invited young and talented students from across the country to design doodles using their creativity and imagination considering Google's homepage.
The winning doodle was called 'A Prism of Multiplicity' was proudly displayed at the home page on November 14, the birthday of Jawaharlal Nehru, India's first prime minister. Yadav was declared winner of the Doodle4Google contest, which received 200,000 submissions from 60 Indian cities.
The theme of the competition was India's "Unity in Diversity" and displayed a doodle that best reflect the diverse cultures and uniqueness of the country. The company had invited students in the age group of -16 years to design and create a logo for the competition. Google also announced category winners of the competition this year.
