Girl booked for comments on Chandigarh traffic police's Facebook page
A 23 year old girl from the union territory of Chandigarh has been booked by the authorities for posting abusive comments on the Facebook Page of the Chandigarh traffic police.
Henna Bakshi, who had received Geeta Chopra bravery award for nabbing a burglar many years ago, is a daughter of an army officer. She was booked on Friday for her comments on the home page of the city's traffic police on the social networking site.
Bakshi along with Kamalpreet have been booked under various sections of the IT Act at industrial area police station following a complaint by a police personnel. Bakshi had written that she had to face harassment for registering an FIR for a vehicle theft from Sector 18. She said that the process to file FIR for vehicle was stressful.
She also claimed that she did not receive any updates from the police in the case and also that she got unsatisfactory responses from the department. Following the incident, she decided to post the comments on the Chandigarh Police's Facebook page.
She said that her comments were made in general and did not target anyone in particular. She also said that she does not believe her comments were objectionable and claimed that she only tried to highlight the difficulties faced by the public.
