A woman is fighting for her life as she battling flesh-eating bacteria. For now, doctors are unable to explain as to how the bug attacked Cindy Martinez, 34.

Doctors have removed dead tissues from her body. But there are chances that she may lose her both arms and feet. Her husband David, a police officer, is with her all the time and has taken leave from the police department.

"I explained everything to her; she was just in shock. She thought she was going to come home in a few days. I had to tell her the truth, and tell her she's not coming home. I don't know when", said David.

There is a possibility that she contracted the bug through an open wound. But David does not think it as a possibility, as he cannot see any wound on his wife's body. For now, the cause has become a big mystery, but currently, main thing is to save Cindy.

David said that when she was at home, she used to feel the pain. He has even looked where the pain was, but he could not notice anything troubling. Pain started from her shoulder and the next day, she visited hospital and came to know that her system was shutting down.

As per doctors, emergency surgery was the only resort to save her. A GoFundMe account has been set up to help the Martinez family to pay for the medical bills.
