Oral Spray Launched for DiabeticsShreya Life Sciences announced the launch of the world's first oral insulin spray as an alternative to the insulin injections. Launched under the brand name, "Oral Recosulin", the spray is a recombinant DNA human insulin buccal spray and has been approved for marketing in India while in the U. S. it is in Phase 3 of the trials. Mr Ram Shelat, Director Shreya Life Sciences said, "It has been approved for marketing in India. We are waiting for price approval, and by the first week of December, it will be available in the Indian market."

According to researchers at the University of Connecticut, obese women are more likely to be fired from their job or get in trouble with the police than thin ones.

It is also stated that they are more likely to be criminals themselves.

Most disturbingly, the survey predicts that the overweight women also suffer the most stress as compared to obese men.

The researchers from the universities of Liverpool and Stirling discovered that even though women find men with scars attractive, they would not have a permanent relationship with them.

The study, which was conducted on 220 persons of both genders, found that facial scars can help win a woman’s heart.

During the study, the participants were asked to see pictures of men and women, some of which had been manipulated to have different scars.

US FDA Opens its Office in China

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration opened its first overseas office on Wednesday in China, with others planned around the globe to control quality of food imported in to the country. David Acheson, the FDA's associate commissioner for foods said, "We are currently importing about 15% of the food we eat in the United States, and it is increasing every year. It's much easier if we can build the collaboration at a local level rather than trying to do it from 8,000 miles away."
