Eminent economist and Nobel laureate Prof Amartya Sen has asked the
Union government to provide primary health care facilities to people,
particularly those coming from economically weaker sections of society.

Prof Sen said that the policymakers need to be more responsive towards
the common people. He also asked the state government to allocate more
funds for the district hospitals to improve primary health care
facilities.

Australia's Conservative MP Fred Nile had proposed that topless bathing be banned in NSW and women be specifically prohibited - not men - since "some of the radical groups say men go topless, why can''t women".

On Monday, the CBI informed a court hearing the Sister Abhaya murder case in Kochi that it was Sister Sephy, who was under arrest along with two priests, who hit the nun on the head with a hand-held axe.

CBI further said that Sister Abhaya was attacked since she saw Sister Sephy in a compromising situation with the two priests at the Pius X Convent hostel in Kottayam district.

London, Dec 31: An Indian woman, who became the world's oldest mother after giving birth to a baby girl through IVF, is planning to for a second child.

Rajo Devi, 70, from Badhu Patti in Haryana, India gave birth to a baby girl, named Naveen Lohan on November 28, and now wishes to have a boy.

Rajo and her husband Bala Ram, 72, are hoping that IVF doctor Anurag Bishnoi will help them have a son.

"It''s amazing to finally be a mum," the Telegraph quoted Rajo as saying.
