Toni expected back to boost BayernMunich  - Bayern Munich expect Italy striker Luca Toni to resume team training on Monday in a boost for the German champions ahead of a key Bundesliga clash against VfL Wolfsburg and a Champions League trip to Barcelona.

Midfielder Hamit Altintop is also due back following injury while defender Massimo Oddo has already resumed training with the team.

Toni has been sidelined for four weeks with an Achilles tendon injury but has been undergoing fitness training daily with rehabilitation coach Thomas Wilhelmi in Bologna.

Sports Minister Miroslaw Drzewiecki said referees from the two neighbouring countries could be considered to help out in the Ekstraklasa, the country's top league, the Polish press agency PAP reported.

Only 37 per cent believe Denmark will make it to the finals hosted by South Africa, 35 per cent thought Denmark would fail, while 28 per cent were undecided.

The poll of 1,015 people was conducted by polling company Catinet for Danish news agency Ritzau.

Bayern Munich face tough fight over Ribery, says Hoeness Munich  - Bayern Munich face a hard fight in keeping France midfielder Franck Ribery who could become the focus of increasing attention from other European clubs, general manager Uli Hoeness said in a newspaper interview Friday.

Bayern have repeatedly insisted they have no interest in selling the 25-year-old international who is reportedly wanted by Barcelona and big-spending Manchester City.

Hoeness told Bild newspaper Ribery had two years to go on his contract and he and his family were happy in Munich.

Atouba looking to extend contract with SV Hamburg Hamburg - Defender Thimothee Atouba wants to extend his contract at Bundesliga club SV Hamburg when it runs out at the end of the season.

"I want to stay," the 27-year-old Cameroonian told Friday's Hamburger Abendblatt newspaper.

Atouba is currently building up his fitness as he continues his recovery from an Achilles tendon injury sustained last October.

"If things continue as they are then Timmy could be available for us in the final games of May," said Hamburg coach Martin Jol.
